About Emily

Emily Gregg is an accomplished graphic designer and creative communicator with two decades of experience. With an education background in design, and layered proficiencies with communication strategy, Emily has grown to be a comprehensive and well-rounded creative communicator. She has the unique skill level and knowledge to see a project through from conception to execution.

She graduated from Meredith College – an all-female college in Raleigh, North Carolina – with a Bachelors in Graphic Design. While there, she maintained a presence on the Dean’s List, served as the Student Chapter President of the American Institute for Graphic Arts (AIGA), and participated on the design team for the college literary journal, Colton Review.

In 2009, Emily was honored with 1 of 100 spots in a prestigious state funded internship program called NC YAIO. She was placed on the design team for the North Carolina Department of Commerce where she worked on producing materials for a wide range of state initiatives, such as NC Film, NC Wine Council, and most notably, the NC Dept of Energy – a newly formed department in need of an identity; her proposed logo was chosen and reproduced on cars, shirts and signage throughout the state.

Following graduation, she worked in a variety of industries including higher education, non-profit, government, and healthcare. These roles brought a wealth of knowledge and experience working in vastly different industries with unique needs. For each one, it was her job to find a solution to fit these needs, and she accomplished each successfully. Mostly recently she has served as the Director of Marketing for Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. In this role her primary responsibilities include developing communication strategy plans, coordinating media visits, writing and distributing press releases, designing print and web materials, managing a robust website, and more.

Over the last 2 decades, I have worked with non-profits, healthcare, technology, and higher education institutions, as well as gaining momentum with my own freelance work. Companies I have worked with include Wake Forest University, North Carolina Healthcare Quality Alliance, Piedmont Environmental Alliance, International Society for Biofabrication, AnswerHub, and many more.

I am an active member of the Meredith College Alumnae Board, a volunteer with the Piedmont Environmental Alliance, and a Chief Judge for the Board of Elections.
